When you’re making a game and it’s only got a small daily average of players, or even a daily average of 0 it can seem trivial as to why you would play your game, after all, it’s no fun.
From my experience, playing your game yourself even if there is no one playing it can help you to find problems with your game you didn’t find in the editor (in my case Roblox Studio).
However, testers can help you with that. They can test the game and find the problems. But playing my own game gave me insights the testers didn’t, such as that the river banks were atrocious, because they were holey and you cannot climb up them (as shown below).

Another thing is difficulty, while playing as the Arctic Fox I realized the hunger goes down way too fast, as it is a predator it needs to hunt other players which may take a while to find, so its hunger needs to last longer than a herbivore’s hunger.
I hope you found this useful and have a good day :>
