Within the world of Mortifrost few animals are still kicking since the big freeze that saw the world ice over, but those that are, are the meaning of resilient.
When designing creatures for Mortifrost, the biggest things that I keep in mind are resilience, adaptability and lots of fluff (don’t want them getting cold)!
I chose avian-inspired animals to be the dominant species, mainly because that’s what I’m interested in rather than for technical reasons. So the majority of designs will be similar in form to Terror Birds, such as Phorusrhacos or Kelenken, as I prefer a mix between Dinosaur and Bird.
